Instant Crag

NOTE: Access to this crag is currently under threat! Please limit your impact.

A pleasant little west facing bouldering area located right beside Ku-Ring-Gai Chase Rd. To get there, drive 600m north from the Kalkari Visitor's Centre and park on the right. Walk a further 50m north (down the hill) and jump the fence (20m or so before the "50km/h" bend sign).

The crag lies within the Ku-Ring-Gai National Park (in which climbing is not allowed without explicit permission from NPWS) and is located near the Kalkari climbing area (which has been closed by NPWS and continues to be a sore point with them). It is currently unclear whether bouldering within the park is allowed or not.

Covered in detail in the "Sydney Bouldering" guide.
