How to Read this Guide

Because of the limitations of online publishing, this guidebook has been prepared with a number of differences in layout to a traditional printed guidebook.

The major difference is with the layout of the columns and rows of route descriptions in the guide. Unlike traditional guidebooks (which list routes down the page first, with columns of climbs being placed across the page), this guidebook has routes listed across the page in rows, with rows of climbs being placed down the page, as follows:

The other major difference is that there are two versions of the guide - the online edition (available at http://www.sydneyclimbing.com/) and the printed edition (available at the same location).

The printed edition will almost certainly be unreadable in a browser window. This is intentional, since it's designed to print out in as compact a format as possible. If the font size is too large or too small for your particular browser and printer, you should be able to improve it (not to mention improve the page breaking behaviour and other printed characteristics) by copying the entire contents of the printed edition's page into your word processor and manipulating it there. Note that under the terms of the license, you are perfectly entitled to do this.

On a more mundane note, the Microsoft Internet Explorer web browser is very slow at displaying and responding to the menu system used in this guide. If this is a major problem for you, I'd recommend using another browser (such as Mozilla Firefox) instead . If that isn't an option for you, there is also a non-frames / non-javascript version of the guide linked from the home page.
